This Pukeko Soft Plush Toy is called Luke the Pook.

Luke is a beautiful blue, with the distinctive red Pukeko legs. He is very lucky to wear Red Band gumboots (you might call them galoshes, or mud boots, or rain boots) to keep his feet dry.

From the top of his head to the bottom of his Red Bands, Luke is approximately 26cm (10 1/4") long.

He is soft and cuddly and very cute.

The native New Zealand pukeko is a distinctive blue, black and red swamp hen that frequents the ditches on the side of New Zealand roads. They are gawky and cute.
